Southwark Council carries out monthly estate walkabouts (also called estate inspections), and our TRA takes part to help ensure our neighbourhood stays clean, safe, and well looked after.
These walkabouts are informal on‑site inspections led by Southwark Council resident services officers, with local tenants and residents invited to join. They provide an opportunity to highlight any issues you’ve spotted around the estate, including:
Cleanliness of communal areas
Whether bins are being emptied regularly
Maintenance of communal gardens
Any necessary repairs in shared spaces
Fly‑tipping or litter problems
Health and safety concerns
Ensuring lifts and shared facilities are working properly
General tidiness of walkways, entrances, and block hallways
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving our community, TRA volunteers generously offer up our time to join these monthly walkabouts, helping to identify problem areas such as overgrown patches, waste issues, littering hotspots, or untidy shared spaces. We then work with Southwark teams to ensure issues are logged, monitored, and resolved.
If you'd like to join a future walkabout or want us to raise an issue on your behalf, just get in touch with the TRA committee.
